LIFE:CAPTURED began in August 2013 when we held our first full-day workshop at RAW Space in Sydney, Australia. Our mission is to help people document their stories and create tangible keepsakes to be treasured for generations to come. We offer intensive design, photography, and memory keeping workshops, as well as interactive online classes. We are advocates of honest photography, minimalist design, and memory keeping that's simple, beautiful, and tangible. We are the pioneers of the story book, and we offer flexible templates that enable everybody to tell their story. We believe that life is worth remembering and that it is never too early or too late to start documenting yours. LIFE:CAPTURED was founded by Rhonda Mason (of the Pink Ronnie blog) and Trish Chong (of Tealily Photography).

Our Signature Workshop

Our Signature Workshop - LIFE:CAPTURED Inc (The modern school of memory keeping)

Our signature workshop is a full-day photography and memory keeping workshop for anybody who aspires to document their life. This workshop is taught by both Ronnie and Trish.

Since our first workshop in August 2013, we've had quite a variety of different people come along for our workshops. We've met men, women, young workers, expecting mums, parents, grandparents, bloggers, and even a few professional photographers! We've also had students fly in from Melbourne, Brisbane, Albury, New Zealand, and Hong Kong. It's been absolutely amazing. We feel so thankful and humbled that people have embraced our idea for this workshop. We've loved meeting every single person, and we've been greatly encouraged by everybody's feedback. To read about the experiences of our attendees, have a look at these lovely posts by Babyology

Syllabus & Inclusions

Together, we believe in photography that’s real and honest, and memory keeping that’s simple, beautiful, and tangible. Through the workshop, we hope to equip others with the skills and resources to document their lives in this way. Our aim is to teach both the technical and emotional aspects of documentary photography right through to editing and workflow, photo book design, journalling, memory keeping systems, life albums, and organisation of photos and memorabilia.

We cover the fundamentals of using Adobe Lightroom for photo organisation and image work, and if time permits, we also try to share our tips relating to iPhoneography and time management. As part of the full-day workshop, we include a live photo shoot, two practical Lightroom sessions, and time for Q&A. In addition, all attendees will receive a goodie bag, printed materials, and a selection of design templates from our online shop.

The next signature workshop will be held on Friday 19 May 2017. The workshop will take place from 9.00am to 5.30pm in Sydney. If you have any questions, please email us at anytime.

No prior knowledge of Adobe Lightroom is required. However, you will need Adobe Lightroom installed on your laptop. You can download a trial copy of Lightroom here, or you can read our Software page for more information about subscribing to the Adobe Creative Cloud. In addition to your laptop, you will also need to bring an iPad and a camera with manual controls.

This workshop is now sold out.

"Trish and Ronnie, thank you for combining your talents and your energy and for filling this workshop niche. Your entire workshop was a friendly breath of fresh air, rich with creative energy and inspiration. I felt completely at ease and welcomed as an individual into your creative classroom. You are both clearly passionate about your careers, your many skills, your beautiful families and your desire to share your diverse knowledge. It has been a privilege to spend a day with you both. It was like you created a workshop to fulfil my personal wish list. Never have I walked away feeling so energised, inspired, and catered for as a creative individual. I now have a deep desire to take my personal photography into the truly treasured space it deserves. For me, my family, and the generations to come. "
