THE LIFE:CAPTURED PROJECT
Here at LIFE:CAPTURED Inc, we are big believers in preserving our stories with both images and words. From big stories to little stories, from stories of heartache to stories that recount the most ordinary of moments, we believe in preserving them all. We know, however, that finding the time to write is hard enough. What's often even harder is knowing what to write when you do actually sit down to do it. Which brings us to our little idea: The #lifecapturedproject.
Every month, Ronnie will write and share a list of journaling prompts on the blog in the form of a printable. You can then download it, print it out, and stick it up on your wall or keep it in your journal. Use it to help you write your stories down. To capture and preserve what's true and important to you.
The journaling prompts will also double as photography prompts because while we all know that images can bring forth words, we also believe the opposite to be true: Words can inspire images. To be able to turn your emotions and your memories into imagery - that is surely art in one of its purest, most powerful forms.
And of course, to encourage each other along, you can share your words and your images on Instagram if you want to. For those who don't have Instagram, we will also have a monthly thread on our forum which you can use to share your journaling or a link to your blog post. Every month or so, we will publish a round-up of our favourite submissions from the #lifecapturedproject community.
I'm literally holding my breath as I write this. Your response two weeks ago was both deeply encouraging and extremely overwhelming. I felt this sudden immense pressure to make this work. To not let this 'fail.' I blocked it out for a week or more, and finally came back to it this week. Continue reading
How did everyone go with journaling in December? I was so encouraged to read everyone's response on the forum, and Trish and I have loved going through the #lifecapturedproject hashtag on Instagram to see all your posts - a big thank you to everyone for sharing. We plan to go through all the entries shortly and select our favourites to feature here on the blog. Continue reading
I'm really curious to know how you're all going with your writing and journaling. Are you finding these prompts helpful? Something that I've come to realise these last weeks is that if I'm too tired (which is often the case), my writing almost becomes lifeless. I guess that makes sense. If I'm too exhausted to feel, then I can hardly expect my words to pour forth. Continue reading
I really appreciated your feedback a few weeks ago, and it's been greatly encouraging seeing all the new people who've been taking part in our #lifecapturedproject this month. Thanks to everybody for helping us to spread the word! Continue reading
It's hard to believe it's been another month already. Time seems to be flying by. I keep thinking it's only the beginning of the year but we're already at the end of term 1 of school. Crazy. This month, I've been deeply encouraged to see all the new people taking part in our #lifecapturedproject. Continue reading

The #lifecapturedproject: August journaling prompts
So happy to be able to post the prompts on time this month! Now that we are past the half-year mark, I would love to know how everybody is going? Do you intend to keep writing till the end of this year? Would you like to keep journaling next year? Some feedback would be wonderful, as it would help us to start making plans for 2016. Continue reading
The #lifecapturedproject: September journaling prompts
This month, I finally returned to writing for myself, and it has truly sparked something inside of me. There is something utterly magical about putting our memories to paper. As I write, I remember. I relive past moments. Continue reading
These last few weeks have been intensely emotional for our family. I have words brewing inside of me, and I'm craving the time and space to write them. I wonder how all of you guys are going? Anyway, today's mini interview is with Bethany, who's another one of our 2015 Community Ambassadors. Continue reading
I find it incredible that it has now been a year since we first launched the #lifecapturedproject. Twelve months of journaling prompts! Twelve months of writing our hearts out together! To be completely honest with you all, the last two months of nausea and fatigue haven't really left me much energy for journaling. Continue reading
