"A portrait of all my boys, minus the one in heaven."
Back in the middle of September, the six of us headed to the memorial gardens for Cameron's eighth anniversary. All four grandparents came along as well. It was a beautiful and glorious day - one that will be etched on my heart, always. As I was browsing through the frames that I'd captured on the day, this one really spoke to me. It was one of those candid moments: a peculiar-looking insect had just landed on Grandpa's arm, and all four boys immediately gravitated towards the little creature to take a closer look. I love how real this moment feels, with all that windblown hair and those funny, boyish expressions. A precious reminder to yours truly, that no matter how bleak or dark or painful life can be, there is still much love and light and beauty that surrounds us. Sometimes you just have to stop, breathe, and see...
