LIFE:CAPTURED began in August 2013 when we held our first full-day workshop at RAW Space in Sydney, Australia. Our mission is to help people document their stories and create tangible keepsakes to be treasured for generations to come. We offer intensive design, photography, and memory keeping workshops, as well as interactive online classes. We are advocates of honest photography, minimalist design, and memory keeping that's simple, beautiful, and tangible. We are the pioneers of the story book, and we offer flexible templates that enable everybody to tell their story. We believe that life is worth remembering and that it is never too early or too late to start documenting yours. LIFE:CAPTURED was founded by Rhonda Mason (of the Pink Ronnie blog) and Trish Chong (of Tealily Photography).

The blog

The official blog of LIFE:CAPTURED Inc, the modern school of memory keeping. We believe that life is worth remembering and that it is never too early or too late to start documenting yours. We blog about design, photography, and how you can preserve your story with timeless, tangible keepsakes.

ONE // I recently had three weeks off with my family, and it was such a precious gift. We spent one week down south in Gerroa at our favourite holiday house and the rest of the time was spent re-doing the boys' bedrooms and hanging out at home together as a family. The boys spent a whole lot of hours out in the backyard with Rick, riding on their bikes and scooters, while I buckled down in the kitchen and cooked meal after meal of all my favourite dishes growing up. There was also my birthday and our wedding anniversary, and despite being sick for ten days in the midst of it all, I am truly thankful for the month that's been. I am now rested, refreshed, recharged, and very excited to take on the rest of the year.

TWO // While we were away, I started reading 'Under the Tuscan Sun' by Frances Mayes, and it inspired me to make time and create space for my own journaling and writing. All of a sudden, I found myself writing scribbling down lists of story ideas for my own journaling, and I even started writing paragraphs of text in my head as I went about my day. Not only do I feel inspired to re-invest time and energy into my personal blog, but I've now set myself a goal of publishing a manuscript in the next few years. As lofty as this goal sounds, my hope is that it will push me to start writing down our family's story in earnest - for my own sake, and for the sake of our boys.

THREE // We're so excited about our 2015 Community Ambassadors: Amanda SerrentinoEmily Jane, Heike, JoSteffie van den NakkerArylna BlanchardBethany SeymourCharlottaRebecca Song, Diane Downs, Amy YungAmber Robson, and Sharon Toh. They are such a beautiful group of women, all with such kind hearts and every one of them are eager to welcome you into our community. Welcome to the team, ladies!

FOUR // Something that we've recently completed, and which I'm very excited about, is this archives page for our blog. It is a collection of our favourite blog posts, organised in a way that (hopefully) makes it easy for you to browse our old blog posts or to find an old blog post that you wish to read again. I also happen to think it looks very pretty, which never hurts, right?

FIVE // As some of you will know, the final participants of our first ever #unravelyourphotos boot camp have been announced! I personally have great respect and admiration for each of the participants and look forward to seeing how they go. At the moment, I'm busily working to prepare the physical workshop kits that will be sent out to the group, which is very exciting. But...

SIX // ...nothing is more exciting than the arrival of Naomi Grace, Trish's beautiful baby girl. Welcome to the world, Naomi. You are so very loved...
